Benjamin Londergan

Benjamin Londergan began his career at Group One Trading, L.P., in 1998, and today as co-CEO of the company, oversees the activities of a 160+ person option market-making company. In March 2008, he was appointed to CBOE’s Board of Directors as a Floor Director.

Londergan became a Pacific Stock Exchange (PCX) member in January of 1999. While at PCX, he was promoted to Market Maker and traded a portfolio of about 30 stocks. He also was a Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) member from 1999 to 2001, making markets in equity options.

In February 2001, Londergan became a Eurex Market Maker and also traded on the Helsinki Stock Exchange (HEX). He was selected to participate in a "trader swap" between Group One Trading, LP, and EVLI options group (a Finnish Investment Bank). On the Eurex/HEX, he managed a book of 70 stocks.

In 2001, Londergan was promoted to Derivatives Trading Managing Director, charged with responsibility for opening and managing Group One Trading, LP's first European trading operation, G1 Derivatives Trading LTD. After returning from Europe, he reinstated his status as a CBOE member and became the Managing Director of Group One's Chicago office. In January 2005, he was named a member of Group One Trading’s Board of Directors.

At CBOE, he serves as Co-Chair of the Board of Directors of the Political Action Committee (PAC) and has served on the Systems, Allocations, Equity Market Performance, and Nominating committees.

Londergan graduated summa cum laude from Indiana University with a B.A. in Mathematics and minors in both French and Economics. In 2009, he was the recipient of the 2009 Outstanding Young Alumni Award from the university.
